AI Visibility Strategy

Findings are not a plan. An audit can establish exactly how a business appears in AI-generated answers and where its record is wrong or thin, and the business is still left with the operative questions: what should change first, what depends on what, and what is each step actually for? The AI Visibility Strategy is the document that answers those questions — a sequenced course of work built on documented findings rather than on generic advice.

A strategy engagement begins where measurement ends. It takes the findings of an AI Visibility Audit — and, where they exist, an AI Reputation Assessment and a Business Entity and Source Verification — and converts them into an ordered plan the business can execute, commission, or evaluate.

What the strategy addresses

Discoverability. Whether AI systems can find and retrieve the business’s information at all: the sources that carry it, how accessible and legible those sources are, and where the business is simply absent from the record its category’s answers are built from.

Source quality. Which sources AI systems rely on when discussing the business, how reliable and current they are, and what would have to exist — or be corrected — for stronger sources to do that work instead.

Factual consistency. The conflicts and errors documented in the business’s wider record, ordered by how much they matter: which contradictions are actively shaping answers, and which are dormant until a retrieval system finds them.

Content and topical architecture. The questions customers and AI systems ask about the business and its category, mapped against what the business’s published information actually answers — identifying the gaps where no citable, well-structured source exists, and the structure that would let new content function as part of a record rather than as isolated pages.

How the strategy is built

The strategy is built from the engagement’s own evidence, following the approach set out in our methodology. Every recommendation is tied to a documented finding: the audit observation, assessment finding, or register item it responds to. Recommendations that cannot be tied to evidence are not included, however conventional they may be.

The plan sequences the work in dependency order — facts corrected before content built on them, foundational sources established before development that references them — and for each step it states three things plainly: what the step is, what it is expected to change, and the basis for that expectation, distinguishing documented platform behavior from reasoned inference. It also states what is deliberately not recommended, and why, so the business can see the reasoning rather than only the list.

What you receive

You receive a written strategy document: the findings it rests on, the sequenced steps with their rationale and expected effects, the dependencies between them, and the measures by which later change can be assessed. The document is written to be usable — by the business itself, by its own providers, or as the brief for AI Citation Development work with us. Subsequent change can be documented against it through AI Visibility Monitoring, which records what moved, what did not, and what cannot be attributed.

What a strategy cannot promise

A strategy improves the conditions under which AI systems encounter a business’s information. It does not and cannot guarantee outcomes. No plan can promise citations, mentions, recommendations, rankings, or visibility on any platform, because source selection is each platform’s own process — partly unpublished, and changed without notice. Any step whose honest expected effect is uncertain is labelled as such; a step that cannot be justified on the evidence is not dressed up as one that can.

The strategy also cannot promise that observed improvement was caused by the work. Monitoring can establish that a business’s presence changed, and when; attributing that change to a particular step is a separate question, and our documents keep the two apart.

The terms of the engagement

The AI Visibility Strategy is a paid service. Payment covers the analysis, planning, and documentation described on this page. It does not purchase favorable findings or editorial conclusions of any kind, and it does not purchase citations, rankings, recommendations, or visibility on any platform. A strategy built on findings the business dislikes will still say what the findings support; our editorial standards govern the work.

From findings to a plan

If you have impressions about your business’s AI visibility but no documented basis for acting on them, the audit comes first. If the findings exist and the question is what to do about them, in what order, that is the strategy. Contact us to discuss an AI Visibility Strategy for your business.
