Editorial Standards

These standards govern every profile Reputation.blog publishes. They are how a paid service stays credible: the work is paid for, the conclusions are not.

Accuracy

We check facts against their sources before publication, and we do not publish a material fact we cannot verify. Where we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently, as described below.

Objectivity

Profiles present evidence fairly, including evidence that does not flatter the business concerned. Verified facts, company statements, and third-party reporting are kept distinct, so readers can weigh each kind of material for themselves. A client’s commercial relationship with us does not affect how evidence is presented.

Source transparency

Each profile includes a Primary source documentation section, and material claims are attributed to their sources wherever practical. Readers should be able to trace a statement back to the material behind it.

Conflicts of interest

Because this is a paid service, the conflict is stated openly: a business pays for research, optimization, content development, and publication. Payment does not purchase favorable editorial conclusions, favorable wording, omission of verified adverse information, or any guarantee of citations, rankings, recommendations, or visibility on any platform. If a requested change is not supported by evidence, it is not published.

Corrections and updates

Businesses may submit factual corrections and supporting documentation, readers may report inaccuracies, and companies may request an opportunity to respond, using the form on the Contact / Corrections page. Submissions are reviewed against the evidence. Where a correction is accepted, the profile is updated and its Last verified/updated date is changed. A submission does not guarantee that the requested change will be published.

Right of reply

Where a profile includes material third-party reporting or a contested claim about a business, the business concerned is given a fair opportunity to respond, and a substantive response is reflected in the profile, attributed as the company’s statement. A response does not entitle a business to remove verified facts or attributed third-party reporting.

Defamation avoidance

We avoid publishing unverified allegations as fact, we attribute contested claims to their sources, and we do not publish material we know or have good reason to believe is false. Serious allegations are checked against primary documentation or multiple reliable sources before publication, and material uncertainty is disclosed.

Separation of editorial content and commercial relationships

Commercial relationships pay for the service described on the About page: research, optimization, content development, and publication, and ongoing monitoring where engaged. They do not buy editorial outcomes. The research and verification process in our Methodology applies to paying clients and to correction-driven updates alike, and no profile is published until it has passed that check.
